2 CHRONICAL 14
In-order to receive the blessings of God you must, be one of God's people.
You must have a direct calling from God on your life.
You must be humble.
You must pray, and seek God's face above all else.
Then finally you must truly repent and cast off the old man.
Stop living in sin and accept what God has for you.
Then and only then blessings will follow
God's Promise and Warning
( 1 Kings 9:1-9)
The Lord Appears to Solomon
9When Solomon had finished building the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had achieved all he had desired to do,
2the Lord appeared to him a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.
3The Lord said to him:
“I have heard the prayer and plea you have made before me;
I have consecrated this temple, which you have built, by putting my Name there forever.
My eyes and my heart will always be there.
4“As for you, if you walk before me faithfully with integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all I command and observe my decrees and laws,
5I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’
6“But if you or your descendants turn away from me and do not observe the commands and decrees I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them,
7 then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name.
Israel will then become a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
8This temple will become a heap of rubble.
All who pass by will be appalled and will scoff and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’
9People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them that is why the Lord brought all this disaster on them.’
11Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.
12And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayerthat is madein this place.
16For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
18Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying,
There shall not fail thee a man to beruler in Israel
